Alert - Fraud risk
HSBC Asset Management is warning retail investors to be vigilant regarding attempts to impersonate its identity by individuals acting fraudulently and enticing private individuals to invest in schemes with promises of high and risk-free returns.
These fraudsters distribute commercial offers and investment proposals in the name of HSBC Global Asset Management. These offers do not originate from HSBC Asset Management and are in no way binding on it.
No entity of HSBC Asset Management ever deals directly with retail investors to offer investments. No entity of HSBC Asset Management ever requests personal or banking information from the retail investors by email, telephone call, social networks, or instant messaging, and ever collects or receives funds from the public.
Any contact or investment proposal presented as originating from one of the entities of HSBC Asset Management should be considered suspicious.
If in doubt, or if funds have already been transferred to an individual in this context immediately contact your bank to block the transfer or request its return.
